# How an audit with Repodo works
> Your part takes about 30 minutes. Ours runs all year. A state-authorised auditor signs the result.

## From the first call to a signed opinion

1. **A 20-minute call.** We look at your company structure, your accounting system and your latest annual report, and tell you whether we can take you on.
2. **A fixed quote and an engagement letter.** You see the full price and sign the engagement letter before anything changes hands.
3. **Handover from your current auditor.** We handle the formalities with your previous auditor.
4. **Connect once.** Link your accounting system, your bank and your tax account, read-only. It takes about 15 minutes, and we never ask for it again.
5. **Checked all year.** Our checks run on every transaction as your books update. If something will matter at year-end, we ask that week, not next spring. Anything we can't collect ourselves goes on a list, with each item assigned to the person who has the answer.
6. **Reviewed by your auditor.** Exceptions go to your named, state-authorised auditor, who assesses the risk, makes the judgement calls and talks to you when it matters.
7. **Signed and filed.** You approve the annual report, your auditor signs the opinion, and we file it with the Danish Business Authority.

## What you do

- Connect your accounting system, read-only
- Answer a few questions about the year
- Sign the engagement letter
- Approve the finished annual report

Two 15-minute jobs and two signatures.

## What we do

- Pull and reconcile your ledger
- Prepare the audit documentation and check every transaction
- Flag the exceptions that need professional judgement
- A state-authorised auditor reviews, concludes and signs
- File your annual report with the Danish Business Authority

We never ask for a document your system can already give us.

## The audit was never the slow part. Waiting was.

Before Repodo:
- Week 1: Requests arrive
- Week 2: Documents are chased
- Weeks 3-5: Your file waits in the queue
- Week 6: Questions return
- Weeks 7-8: Signed and filed

With Repodo:
- You connect your system
- Documentation is prepared
- Your auditor reviews the exceptions
- You approve the report
- Signed and filed, within days of closing your books

## How we compare

Both end with a state-authorised auditor's signature. Everything before it is different.

| | A traditional audit | Repodo |
|---|---|---|
| Time to signed accounts | 3-8 weeks | Days |
| Your own time | Days of document requests | About 30 minutes |
| How you're billed | By the hour, invoiced after | Fixed, agreed up front |
| How much gets tested | A sample | Every transaction |

## Who we work with

Companies with an audit obligation, starting with small and medium-sized businesses in Denmark. Sweden and the UK are next, and we already take requests from both. Some company structures and sectors we can't take on yet. If that's you, we'll say so on the first call.

## Your bookkeeper stays

Your bookkeeper or accountant keeps doing what they do. We connect to the same system, so they get far fewer questions from us.
